Bawal is a town of district Rewari, situated near Delhi-Jaipur National Highway. This town was a part of Jhajjar princely state prior to the mutiny of 1857. Later, Bawal fell into the hands of Nabha chief, Hira Singh and he built a fort here in 1875. The fort is built of slate and stone masonry. Its three-sided walls and rear gateway are in a satisfactory condition.
