A post graduate in Textile Design and Fine Arts from the Moscow Textile Institute, Promil is an Artist and Designer. She designs lifestyle products, textiles, home furnishings, garments and handicrafts. She has been associated as a consultant with UNDP, the offices of DC Handloom and Handicraft, Ministry of Textiles, various State Corporations, the corporate sector, export houses, retail organisations and educational institutes. She is presently working as Product Designer with Fabindia and Educational Consultant to NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling).

Anupama Singh, educated in France in Applied & Fine Arts, University of Paris has launched a Design Centre which creates new products and designs for the promotion of Indian handicrafts, textiles, furnishings and carpets, employing local art forms and artisans. She has been running the Centre for the last 15 years with a team of young professionals. The Centre also turns out home accessories in metal, wood, leather, iron coir and papier mache, carpets from Kashmir, Rajasthan, Badhoi and Panipat, antique and reproducible furniture, gift items and home furnishings. Anupama conducted several Design Development projects for the office of the Development Commissioner of Handicrafts, especially Ministry of Textiles in Kashmir and Sikkim.
